2019 has definitely been a successful comeback year for the Nike Shox family thanks to a slew of releases of classic silhouettes and colorways. And the Shox R4 – one of the lineup’s earliest models from the year 2000 – looks to add to its already impressive catalog with the release of this brand new three-toned rendition. For its next act, the Sportswear silhouette opts for one of the Swoosh’s classic color combinations. Textured uppers are outfitted in a matted white hue, and contrasted with black perforated leather overlays and doses of glossy red accents adorning the Swoosh logos, and midsole plate, and four-pronged Shox cushioning system similar to the OG black/silver colorway.
With less than two weeks to go until the celebration of Halloween, Nike looks to get dive into the festive spirit with their next installment of the classic Air Force 1 built perfectly for trick-or-treating. Appropriately titled the “Skeleton”, this impending rendition pulls similar design cues from the white colorway that released last year, but switches up its foundation for an evening-styled black leather, allowing the spooky and skeletal foot-bone graphics to shine through as if pulled straight from the x-ray machine. Furthermore, the footbeds of these ghostly AF1s come packaged the same anatomical graphics, in addition to the outsoles featuring glow-in-the-dark capabilities that can certainly spruce up your costume look come the night of the 31st.
As we inch closer towards the colder days of Fall and Winter, Nike has been readying their fans with sneaker options engineered with upgraded materials such as GORE-TEX and technical materials designed for seasonal durability. One of those models included in this year’s winterized range is the Air Vapormax 2019 Utility, and it’s set to make it’s fourth appearance this season in a brand new two-toned colorway. Equipped with neoprene stretch booties, toggle closure lacing systems, and textured mesh uppers, the lifestyle silhouette is constructed with a clean makeover involving a gunsmoke grey upper accented with hints of sepia orange touching the heel clips and laces.
Sneakers and outer space have always had an interesting connection. From Nike’s wildly successful “Galaxy” pack in 2012 to Tom Sachs’s bricolage-inspired Mars Yard and Mars Yard 2.0s, the wonders of the universe have always managed to translate well to footwear. The latest shoe to adopt a space-inspired aesthetic is this recently-unveiled “NASA” Vans Old Skool, featuring the agency’s recognizable branding on the lateral side of the white leather upper. The astronaut uniform-inspired look doesn’t stop there though, as the shoe also features a “shuttle” tag on the grey tongue, a removable flag patch on the heel similar to what you’d see on a flight suit, a ridged midsole, vectran padding around the heel collar.
Virgil Abloh’s OFF WHITE imprint is currently busy with a rumored 10 pair Nike/Jordan Brand collaboration including the likes of a deconstructed Air Jordan 1, the Nike VaporMax, the Nike Air Max 90, and the pairs of the Nike Air Force 1 and Nike Blazer. If that wasn’t enough to hint at the fact that the fashion imprint wasn’t limiting their scope, then this upcoming Vans Old Skool shows that there’s no slowing down OFF WHITE’s popularity in 2018. The OFF WHITE Vans Old Skool features the signature “Everything in Quotes” seen throughout the Nike collaboration with “Blank Canvas” written on the white canvas upper and a contrasting vulcanized black midsole and outsole featuring the brand’s arrow logo.
Reinterpreting the checkerboard print seems to be Vans’ trend of the moment with this forthcoming Slip-On mixing their iconic print with that of their logo itself. While Engineered Garments did up the convenient silhouette in a fashion almost 3D, this contrasts greatly as its design is arguably heaps more sparing. The Anaheim imprint’s type branding emblazons in perpetuity across the entire canvas constructions with the black and white colorways opting for vastly different colored fillings. Choosing muted greens with purples and then dark tints with bright reds, respectively, both offer up vastly different alternatives with the luxe Vault LX upgrade being the most standout connecting factor.
With Halloween being right around the corner, Vans has announced their latest collab, the The Nightmare Before Christmas x Vans Collection.
Shown above, the The Nightmare Before Christmas x Vans Collection will include special iterations of the Sk8-Hi, Authentic, Old Skool, and Slip-On.
Each model from the collection comes dressed in several characters from the movie with personal detailing and texts spotted throughout. Details include the subtle Easter Bunny print hidden inside the sockliner of the Authentic, whereas the Slip-On features a plastic piece of Jack Skellington’s bowtie.
Very few things go hand in hand like peanut butter and jelly, especially when it comes to sneakers. One of those very few things is Vans sneakers and checkerboard print. If you’ve ever owned a pair of Vans there’s a good chance that one of your pairs probably had some checkerboard print on it. If you’ve never owned a checkerboard covered Vans, and are looking to add a pair to your collection then hesitate no more as they have just dropped the new Camo Check Pack. In addition to the popular checkerboard print, Vans has also added another favorite of ours, camo print, to three of their most popular silhouettes, the Authentic, Slip-On, and Old Skool.

Puma and Rihanna gave the ladies not one, but two different colorways of the all-new Fenty Bow Sneaker. A pop of color and exotic materials combine together on this new colorway of the Nike Air Max 90 that will be releasing later this week.
Dubbed the “New Species” colorway, this Nike Air Max 90 starts off by being covered in Pure Platinum (grey) all throughout the upper in premium materials that include suede, nubuck, and a textured scale print that adds a layer of depth and luxury to the shoe. Bio Beige is then seen on the upper eyelets as well as on the inner liner along with Electric Green on the Swooshes and the semi-translucent midsole unit.
More fall-appropriate iterations of the Nike Air Max 90 continue to surface as the popular runner is now revealed in an exotic makeover. Sporting hues of brown and olive green to suit the season, the model’s upper takes on a faux animal fur pattern, while olive crocodile leather is utilized for the mudguard and ankle collar to highlight its theme. Finally, red for the inner lining and interior of its translucent rubber sole completes the design.
Following a “Grey Fog” iteration, London-based Facebook group “The Basement” is teaming up with the Swoosh for another colorway of the classic Nike Air Max 90. Colored in a darker Grey finish with a bold orange tongue for contrast, the runner is composed of mixed materials such as suede, leather, textile and plastic eyelets. The highlight is directed at the removable Swoosh logos and branded heel area that reveals a netted pattern in white, while the matching grey midsole bears text that reads “Real People Do Real Things” printed on the translucent outsole to round out the style.
If you like to rock bold colors during the Spring season and are looking for something that not everyone will have, you should take a look at the Nike Vortak in the Lagoon Pulse colorway.
This bright and bold iteration of the model comes dressed in a Lagoon Pulse, Volt Glow and Black color scheme. If you’re not too familiar with this model, it comes with a upper with a sock-like design utilizing a lacing system that connects to the top of the midsole. Other features on the shoe include the mesh upper, pull tabs on the tongue and heel, a Swoosh on the toe and a pretty thick sole. The colorway of the shoe consists of a Bright Blue mesh upper contrasted by the Neon, Purple and Peach accents. The Black his attempt to tone things down a bit and does so quite nicely.

Nike went overboard in 1993 with the huge Air unit, fully visible from the back of the shoe. The Air Max 93 still remains a popular member of the Nike Air Max family. The 2006 Air Max 93’s most talked-about feature was its large 270-degree exposed Nike Air Unit. The Air Sole Unit contained more air and therefore provided greater protection. It was manufactured using a new process called blow moulding, which involved gas being injected through an external tube that forced plastic into a mould. The Air Max 93 was the first to have a coloured Air Unit. Meanwhile, the upper featured a sock-like fit similar to the Air Huarache. The model was reissued in 2003. In the same year, Nike produced an Escaped-influenced edition and Air Mowabb edition, the latter of which was only available in Europe. Numerous colourways have since been launched worldwide.
The Air unit went full length in 1997. The Air Max 97 offered maximum cushioning and style. This still is one of the most popular Nikes out there, re-issued numerous times around the world. Rumor has it that this shoe was originally going to be called the Air Total Max 3. This ultra modern-looking Air Max was inspired by the high-speed Japanese Bullet train.
Shown up top, the Nike Air Max Plus Triple Black comes dressed in Black from top to bottom and comes constructed out of a Black mesh upper paired up with matching plastic overlays. The Swoosh branding, laced, lining, midsole and rubber outsole all come in Black as well. The only visible part of the shoe that does not come in Black is the Yellow on the signature “Tn” logo on the heel of the outsole.
Nike will soon be releasing this brand new colorway of the Nike Air Max Plus. This iteration of the model opts for a gradient motif on the upper as the Air Max Plus starts off with a Purple base on the toe and gradually transforms on to a Light Blue finish by the time you get to the heel of the shoe. Other features on the shoe include the Black detailing on the overlays, Swoosh logos, mudguards, and plastic toes, while the same Purple and Blue hues can be found on the shank plate between its White midsole. The “TN” logo on the heel, Light Blue air bubbles, Black rubber outsole and Yellow Tuned Air pods complete the look.
The Nike Air Max Plus is taking a walk on the wild side with the latest colorway that we see above. Incorporating a “What The” theme, this new offering of the Nike Air Max Plus has been dubbed the “Color Flip” colorway and takes on a mismatched look. For starters we see that the medial sides of both shoes take on a faded/gradient orange look with the right shoe being hit with purple detailing and the left with volt. Finishing details include orange accents on the eyelets and Swoosh logos, white midsoles, and volt or purple on the insoles and outsoles.

Nike is bringing back a very unexpected silhouette from their archives to celebrate the, 7th anniversary?
We’re talking about the Nike Air Max 2009. Up above is the Stealth colorway of the Nike Air Max 2009 which is available now at select Nike retailers. This colorway of the Air Max 2009 features grey on the majority of the upper with white detailing on the laces, ankle, and midsole. Finishing off the are black accents on the Swoosh and tongue branding and a 360 degree Air Max midsole.
The Nike Air Max 2009 was recently offered in a stealth colorway this past March 2016, and although the sneaker is not as popular as its predecessors and successors, the runner is revived in another colorway for Spring/Summer 2016 once again.
Flaunting a volt-colored breathable mesh composition, the component is reinforced with a translucent overlay across the upper, which displays a graphic of the sneaker’s lacing system across the side panels. Additional hits of volt are applied on the laces, tongue, inner lining and insoles, while shades of grey along the eyelets, quarter panels, rear and toe cap solidifies the palette.
